Foundations of Gut Health for Practitioners
This advanced clinical course provides a structured, evidence-driven framework for evaluating and restoring gut health as a foundational driver of hormonal balance, immune regulation, metabolic function, and systemic inflammation. Designed for real-world practice, the training moves from core gastrointestinal physiology to dysbiosis, intestinal permeability, and microbiome disruption. Clinicians will learn how diet, stress, medications, toxins, infections, and circadian rhythm disruption impair gut integrity and contribute to chronic, treatment-resistant symptoms, with clear strategies for clinical assessment and intervention.

Gut Health = Overall Health
Every year we learn more about the important connection between gut health and overall health and well-being. Out gut is home to more than 100 trillion bacteria, which play a vital role in maintaining the health of our gut and communication with the rest of the body. Not only does the majority of our immune system lie within our gut, but so does communication and production between key neurotransmitter; deeming the gut the "second brain".
Learn the fundamentals of the Gastrointestinal system and its inner workings, so you can identify when disease is present. The 5 R Approach is used in Functional Medicine and can help you take a comprehensive approach to your patients' gut health and overall wellness. The 5 Rs are:
- Remove
- Replace
- Repopulate
- Repair
- Rebalance
Do these challenges sound familiar to you?
1
Curious Beginners
Are you treating patients with chronic or treatment-resistant symptoms?
2
Designed for clinicians managing fatigue, autoimmune conditions, metabolic dysfunction, hormone imbalance, inflammation, and mood disorders where gut dysfunction is a root contributor.
Do your patients fail to improve despite normal labs or standard care?
3
Are you ready to address root causes instead of managing symptoms?
Ideal for clinicians who want structured, evidence-driven gut health strategies that integrate nutrition, supplementation, lifestyle, and microbiome support.
