Learning Objectives

  • 1. Summarize the indications and contraindications for the use of estradiol, progesterone, testosterone thyroid replacement

  • 2. Discuss clinical information for the use of estradiol, progesterone, testosterone and thyroid in patients diagnosed with hormonal deficiencies and explain how to clinical apply this knowledge in clinical practice

  • 3. Recall menopausal and andropausal basics and how to properly identify and assess hormone deficiency in men and women

  • 4. Review the evidence related to breast cancer, prostate cancer, cardiovascular disease as well as other clinical outcomes related to hormone replacement in men and women

  • 5. Describe how to manage the most common adverse events from hormonal therapies as well as the specifics related to pellet therapies

  • 6. Review the different mechanisms of action of each birth control option and how they impact hormonal balance in women

  • 7. Identify how to properly interpret hormonal labs in men and women as well as understand how to target “optimal” results post treatment

  • 8. Describe how to properly dose thyroid replacements and which medications are best suited for each individual patient based on proper evaluation of their thyroid lab panels

Dr. Angela DeRosa, Medical Director for Belmar Pharma Solutions is a respected, internationally recognized authority on women’s hormonal health. Dr. DeRosa has more than 25 years of experience in pharmaceuticals, clinical practice, and education. A board-certified internist specializing in women’s health and hormonal health for men and women, Dr. DeRosa is the Founder of DeRosa Medical, DRM Integrative Health, and Revive Wellness, where she treated over twenty thousand patients using advanced BHRT optimization. Dr. DeRosa is also an accomplished author, professor, lecturer, and published researcher as well as the founder of the Hormonal Health Institute. Dr. DeRosa received a Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from Midwestern University as well as a Master’s in Medical Management from Amherst College.

Family Medicine Physician Melissa Loseke Ablett, DO

Dr. Melissa Loseke Ablett is a family medicine physician whose passion is innovative medicine. Dr. Loseke Ablett practiced primary care for 18 months before leaving and joining a clinic that specialized in treating chronic joint pain with Hyaluronic Acid injections, Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), and Stem Cell therapies. With a constant desire to learn and for cutting-edge treatments for her patients, she began to practice at a nationwide hormone replacement organization specializing in pellet therapy for hormone replacement as well as aesthetics. During her tenure there, Dr. Loseke Ablett expanded her scope of certifications to include the Vampire Facelift, Vampire Breastlift, O shot, and Priapus Shot, as well as Low-Level Laser Therapy or Photobiomodulation to treat various injuries and chronic conditions. After four years of service, she then took a role as Chief Medical Officer for a national Testosterone Replacement Company and Medical Director of a partner Female Hormone Replacement Clinic. During these past several years, she was in the inaugural A4M Peptide Certification groups of providers. Dr. Loseke Ablett has been honored to continue the quest to offer patients comprehensive and innovative medical care to best meet their needs. Dr. Loseke Ablett constantly recommits herself to learning about the latest methods and treatments to help patients lead richer and healthier lives. Dr. Loseke Ablett has a passion for knowledge and educating, both patients and peers.
